 The Brenner Family Education Center is dedicated to helping people understand family relationships, generation to generation, through parent, character and work/life education.
The Brenner Family Education Center helps heartland families, educators and employers understand and use positive, contemporary family concepts.
Established in 1997, the Brenner Family Education Center focuses on three critical areas of contemporary family life:
Parenting
The Center specializes in the child management and discipline components in the parenting continuum, with stand-alone programs or as part of a general parenting curriculum.
Work/Life
The Center has taken a leadership role in brining work/life initiatives to the metropolitan area by helping businesses implement new programs or supplement existing programs, as well as helping them understand the positive impact of work/life programs on their bottom lines and their communities' health and future.
Character Education
Under the leadership of Barbara C. Unell, a founding member of the Character Education Partnership and creator of the Kindess is Contagious...Catch It! program, the Center has helped launch character education intiatives throughout the Kansas City community in education and social service organizations, as well as corporations. |
